Eventful Weekend

Natalie experienced a few more firsts this weekend. Her first time to Monroe (and Monroe's Original), meeting the McGovern crew and her first time with a dangerous fever which took us to urgent care.

Friday we had Great-Grandma Quick's burial in Monroe followed by a very nice lunch at John and Debbie McGovern's house. It was so nice to see Aunt Barbara, Uncle Charlie, Aunt Madelynn, Uncle Tim, Gretchen, Mike, Maddie, Abby and all the McGoverns.

Unfortunately, by the time we returned to Aunt Brynn and Uncle Phil's a very high temp sent us to the urgent care. We were able to get her temp down and by Saturday she was feeling much better.

Natalie had a nice Saturday hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa Dilloway and some dinner with Aunt Nichole and Uncle Shane while we attended Katie Khouri's shower and the boys golfed with Adam.

The fun continued on Sunday when Natalie started developing blisters on her feet and hands. Poor lady contracted the hand, foot and mouth (minus the mouth thank goodness) virus. Back to the Dr we went upon returning home. All is good now and the blisters are already starting to disappear.

Thank you Gusters for having all of us this weekend. We appreciate your hospitality as always and your care and concern for Natalie.

  1. Natalie has been a trooper through all of these family events. Even though she wasn't feeling well, she was very good on Friday in Monroe. I'm so glad she was able to meet the McGovern side of the family. They are always so much fun and I love them all so much!

Thank you for hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa on Saturday. We had a couple of fun walks with the 4 dogs, went to eat dinner and topped it off with a swim in the duck pool (bathtub).
